cottage cafe & moving, yay!

we finally had a saturday together! it is one of my favorite things to spend a day with jonas. we started the day with giant sandwiches and yummy cake at the Cottage Cafe(we recommend it!) and we moved all day, the last photo is the view from one of our living room windows. so excited over here, our home is coming together...

march temple date.

 we finally got to go to the temple this month! i was so excited to go last tuesday but i had a visitation(you never know around here). jonas won a giftcard last year at his Christmas party and we used it to have dinner at drake's. then we went to a wonderful session and forgot about tests, papers, moving, funerals, etc.

my happy place.

he makes me absolutely happy because:

• when i have a tear filled day, he makes me dinner and takes me out for my favorite yogurt. 
• together, we roll down the windows and sing johnny cash songs as loud as we can. 
• when we are joking around he kisses me a million times & we both laugh&laugh at nothing. 
• we have those moments in the temple when we look over at each other and smile. 
• even though it is not true, he still says that i give more of our evening prayers than he does. 
• he does not care one bit about being my alarm clock, every morning.
• he can speak german anytime, anywhere.
• sometimes he picks me up and carries me around or just holds me. and sometimes he does this because i am half asleep and he wants me to brush my teeth. 
• he always finishes the food that i cannot.
• he loves ron paul too.
•  i get to be his wife everyday & forever.

the easter season.

i have so much to be grateful for and i am so happy. my Savior, Jesus Christ is to thank for that. one of my favorite talks of general conference is by Jeffrey R. i do think this should be read in a quiet place. and i think it is wonderful to read now that Easter is upon us(& general conference). i am so glad for the guidance we can have in our lives and the understanding and comfort it brings to me and my family...

wochenende.

saturday night we went out to bd's mongolian grill while a storm raged outside. we also had a buy one get one free coupon(thank you, bonnie hamilton), so we stayed through dessert. then we played lots of raving rabbids on the wii, note my amazing lego wii remote. i know, it is pretty cool. jonas was impressed that i actually played a video game, and it was really fun. together, we conquered those crazy rabbits.

on sunday, after church, we made some oreo milkshakes, jonas filled up the bike tires and we went on a long ride in downtown louisville & to jonas' school. 

it was a great weekend.

i seriously love my life.

first street.

hello spring, or...summer? i really don't care, it is lovely.

today i took a walk on first street. it is particularly beautiful right now. i had my diana, polaroid and nikon. yikes. maybe too many cameras. seriously though, it was so gorgeous that i got a little teary eyed. 1st st. brings back a lot of good memories and i look forward to creating new ones with my love. 

it was difficult for me not to get my bike and ride it all around, but i want to wait for jonas for the first bike ride of the season(he is at work).

ps- i am working on cleaning our home today and putting a few things on the walls! we truly are moving in april 1st. we are so excited and happy about this. it will be a new chapter for us. & we will add a little baby cat. can't wait for you to meet her!

these days.

oh my word. it is so beautiful and WARM outside. i always forget how much i miss being comfortable while walking around & the office is great with the windows open...

 jonas is on spring break! but he still has to work most days, so it is not that cool.

 tonight we might have made those rockstar pancakes. must say, they were pretty good. ha, jonas eats like such a german! really, so proper.

& we went to see the descendants and took a little walk and had a little popcorn. it was most fun.

i say you're the bestest. lean in for a big kiss.

i went to a funeral director exam review today that was supposed to go until 9pm(yeah, it started at 11:30), but since i passed my National Board Exam back in 2009, the second part is not going to be on my test. nice little surprise. and it was like early summer tonight. so we took a cruise around the neighborhood. we shared my hat. & we might need a vespa or something like that of our own.

Neunundneunzig Luftballons.

i had such a great pizza tonight on our little date (yes, this is news worthy).it has been a while since i have had this great of a pizza. like since i lived in germany! unfortunately, i ate a lot and had to answer to my ww tracker later. lame. then we went to the relief society birthday party, jonas came along to be the priesthood leader in the building. so sweet of him.

AND rockwell got the lead in his school play. cat in the hat. i am so proud, particularly about the cat part. he is so adorable, he called me twice and told me his good news. we love him.

and it called that calculation perfect love.

today:
1. i made my amazing husband some cupcakes because he got a raise, and because he is just doing well all around. and maybe i also wanted cupcakes.
2. we woke up to so much snow this morning. so beautiful, even as it all melted away.

i like you most. all the time.

on tuesday we had dinner with friends and discovered that they live in one of the coolest little places. their community is like a step back in time- all of the buildings and homes are unique and so clean! so of course we went back last night. we are talking about norton commons in prospect, ky. we have gone back to the gelato place twice now AND this time we found stracciatella(jonas' favorite ice cream flavor in germany). we were a little excited. when you think you can only have something in germany and you find it here in the US-yeah, that's cool. my ron paul pins came in so i had to wear that on my jacket, had to do it! we had johnny bruscos pizza too. and then we helped out with the youth temple trip. splendid evening.

if we never took that road. if we hadn't had the heart...
