i took a ton of photos and it took forever to sort through them so i could show family and friends the highlights. finally, my last bit of photos from our vacation

i took a walk by myself and tried not to die in the heat wave. i ordered this in german and talked to the starbucks guy a little in german too, i was so proud of myself:

we had a crazy dinner near the Hamburg harbor at a Portuguese restaurant. we tried tons of different seafood, which we haven't eaten much of since Joe' Crab Shack (not an outstanding restaurant). the hamburg restaurant was good though, there were so many different tastes and textures, it was interesting:

sore feet on the train, jonas was nice enough to let me put them up on his legs. you do not put them on the seat because someone is probably going to tell you in scary german to put them down(i learned that early on when i lived there. honestly, i shouldn't have done it anyway that time):

near the Rathaus(city hall). i could not figure out how this worked, but it makes magic better:

hamburg wouldn't let me leave without doing this on the last night i was there. i knew better than to leave my umbrella in my suitcase. yet..:

just the two of us at king's island.

jonas and i have never gone to a real amusement park together and we both love roller coasters! it was time we changed this. we went to king's island on a tuesday and never waited more than 15 minutes for a coaster, so we rode everything we could until our bodies cried out "no more!" roller coasters hurt more and more the older you get. we seriously had a great time. well, i shouldn't have gone on that rafting ride because i was soaked for many hours :/  but i loved spending the day with my husband, it was the best.

plus, we did some shopping at Jungle Jim's (the most amazing grocery store ever) since we were already up there in cincinnati !
