See ya, October.

October came and went so fast! whoosh..

We went to our ward Halloween party. We were German soccer themed:::
We are complete Game of Thrones nerds. So this was our pumpkin this year (I found the stencil but Jonas carved it for us, like he usually does. ha) :::

victorian tales...

I absolutely love fun things done in the spirit of Halloween. Seeing Dracula a couple years ago and Sweeney Todd last year were highlights of my life. If I ever have the chance to see the musical for Nightmare Before Christmas, I shall be there. We went on a walking theater tour in our neighborhood over the weekend. Super cheesy and not as historical as I thought it would be, but we had some good laughs :)
Here are some photos from that::

& the rest of the weekend was pretty good. We ate at the Gasthaus with friends from church and went to the temple, that always refreshes me. Jonas and I shared the first hot chocolate of the season from Starbucks. I caught up with one of my friends over dinner. & Jonas put curtains up in the baby's room..we checked some other things off the baby prep list that seems to diminish and then get super long again. Someday it will be complete :)

when you can wear sweaters...

i wore my favorite color for my 31 week photo. i should really just wear black every single day, it makes me feel good. oh, and i even threw in a photo of Jonas at the end (it has been the pregnant Alyssa show around here lately..) we took a walk and watched part of the Iron Man race tonight. they are rockstars and i am super jealous. we have decided to run a half marathon in the spring to feel a little better about ourselves now, haha :)

an *almost* family of three.

I almost didn't get maternity photos taken because I am feeling pretty big. I cannot wait to get my body back! But someone in Louisville was offering a super good deal on mini sessions, so we just did it. Some of them made me cringe, but here are a few I like..

october.

This month is off to a good start. We had the chance to tour the hospital where our little one will be born. It is surreal to be so close to meeting this life we have created together. Downright bizarre. I am also pretty freaked out to meet all that pain. When I think about that, the hospital seems cold and makes me wish I could be at home to give birth. Maybe next time...We made a date out of our visit and had apps from Bombozz and ice cream after, including the Trick or Treat flavor :) :::

I always work the first weekend in October & it is always the St. James Art Fair and General Conference. It is very annoying because I wish I could just stay at home to watch conference and then step out my door in between sessions for some hot chocolate and a crab cake sandwich! But that's okay, it's all good. Part of the weekend was cold, so the cat is using me for warmth again. I have missed it. We tried The Post pizza and it was so very delicious! I made it through my work weekend without falling down- I am super tired again. I read that this would happen in the 3rd trimester and I am not a fan. Jonas had the missionaries over and had German food while they watched conference (I had to miss it, boo) . I made a whole lot of manicotti the night before though...and cupcakes. Sometimes I think I don't have much in common with my mom and then I remember how much we both love chocolate and Italian food. haha. :::

I am at 30 weeks now.  eek! :::

We went to see Jose Gonzalez at Headliners. I zen out when I listen to him. Gorgeous music:::
& pumpkins & my favorite maternity dress in the park:::
