Every holiday or event is so much sweeter and happier with Zara to share it with.
We try to decorate and get Z involved as much as possible.
Valentine's Day is one of my favorites and even though I felt a bit sick from the new baby, we made sure it was special (including a Galentine's lunch with my best friend, Catherine)::

Since the New Year began...
I haven't taken very many photos since I became pregnant. I have been so sick. Even thinking about Christmas time makes me want to barf because my nausea started around that time. I also spent a few weeks completely exhausted. I gave all that I could to work and would go to sleep very early- like 7:30 or 8. It has been cold & busy so far this year. I have completed several home projects- this baby makes it feel like I have a deadline even though I know life goes on after...
These photos are from celebrating the new year with dinner from Dragon King's Daughter and a countdown wayyy before midnight. I cannot believe this was just over a month ago. Typical January to have 70 days::

We have had a bit of snow & some mornings that took forever to get to work & school- bundling up and driving through it. We also celebrated Zara's "unbirthday" with a homemade birthday cake. She is obsessed with birthdays. I have also tried to take Z to do some things on my Tuesdays off- we visited my sister, went to the trampoline park and the cat café. We also announced our new baby & had some single digit temperatures. brrr::
We had some major weather fluctuations this past week. There was snow & then it was 68! I took advantage of a few energetic days & I have started some slow, sad jogs and yoga for workouts. We took a family trip to Cincinnati for the aquarium, Ikea & Jungle Jim's (I know there are a million other cool things to do there!) We also had a warm zoo day with our neighbor, Bella that was perfection.
It has been a crazy, weird 2019 so far. For reasons beyond a new baby and the weather if you can believe it. I just want to soak in the joyful moments and dwell on more positive things.
As the late Mary Oliver says in The Summer Day: "Tell me, what is it you plan to do
with your one wild and precious life?"

another baby!
We are so excited that we will be welcoming our second (&last) baby to our family. We have wanted another baby for a while and I actually found out I was pregnant from a blood test I requested at an infertility consultation. So crazy. Even though we are so happy, babies shake up your world. They change everything! I am a bit nervous about that & really nervous about giving birth and recovery. AHH! It will all be worth it. Zara will be a wonderful big sister and I can't wait for the two of them to play and love each other :)
