Weird Derby Celebrations.

 I really missed all of the Derby celebrations in 2020 but this year the celebrations came to us. First photos are from a parade that traveled around the city...

Thunder over Louisville was held in several locations around the city. There was one near our house & it was great to skip the crowds! The kids loved it too!

weekend fun!

Weekends in Spring are tough to plan because the weather is so unpredictable. We made the most of a rainy Saturday with soccer practice, a cute little haircut for Zara, cuddles & movies in the living room & dinner/ playing/ our kiddos making new friends at the German/ American club:::

Sunday was a lot sunnier so we picked up my nephew & drove to Indiana. At Charlestown State Park, there is an abandoned theme park/ summer getaway park from the 1920s. It was a beautiful evening, even walking back up a giant hill with cranky kids..

Zara & Ellie loved the old pool most, it is now filled in with gravel::::

2021 Easter Celebrations!

I love Easter because I believe in starting over, in changing your mind, in becoming better all the time (even if you get there through failure!) Easter is a celebration of hope & a great excuse to wear a pretty dress. It was one of my favorite Easter weekends ever...
