asha's baptism.

such a beautiful, special day.
i had the privilege of braiding asha's hair in a fishtail braid. i will cherish that forever.

trader joe's.

sometimes we go to trader joe's for a date... & it is one of the BEST dates. this is serious. some of our favorite things we have had so far(and now ALWAYS have stocked): the almond milk, blue chips with the spinach/artichoke dip, gerolsteiner water, frozen fries, the gorgonzola, and the san francisco artisan bread. we heard the mandarin chicken is very good, so that's on the list for the next trip! we try new things every week, and it is not that expensive. we are so hooked.

i left out a few photos from easter. i actually just remembered that i had them. a little family walk and silas hugging the cat over and over. i really love my family.

on a particularly beautiful day..

we love to have lunch on the patio and go for a walk in the windy, warm air. jonas really loves it when he is sick, like today. but he does it for me.

things i'm looking forward to this month.

three awesome things on my list already happened in april:
1. Easter Sunday.
2. A day trip to ikea with my sister & best friend, brooke. she is the greatest.
3. i have reached my goal weight.


will happen:

• building all of my swedish furniture and putting it up around the house. our edland dresser has 59 steps. that means i have 59 chances to do something wrong. luckily, jonas is helping. i started assembling it myself and there was a drawing of the person who tried to do it alone, and they were really sad. rule: you should always do exactly what the ikea instructions tell you.
• getting everything in order at home.
• funeral director class on the kentucky laws with my boss.
• Asha's Baptism & spending part of the day with her before she is baptized.
• warmer weather(i hope) & eating outside.
• getting a little kitten!
• jonas being finished with his first semester.
• maybe(finally) getting to some crafts: pillow making and fabric garland making.
• yard saling? i think it could happen.
  

for now, i need to get over this major cold. it is so annoying.

our easter this year.

this was our first easter together as a married couple(well, we were married last year but we were in different countries) and it was wonderful. we woke up too early really(can our bodies please start to understand that they can sleep in a little later than on the week day? thanks.) the "easter bunny" brought us some treats. we went to church and listened to fabulous talks, one of which was about the words spoken by Elder Holland that i wrote about a few posts ago. i love that one so much, it was perfect to hear today. then we went to my aunt pam's house in versailles to see my dad's side of the family. last, we spent the rest of the afternoon with my mom, sister&family and my brother. i loved this day and all of the people i got to spend it with.

casey & taylor's baptism.

 on Sunday, everyone came out for the baptism of my two little sisters at southeast christian church. we are really happy for them! (i borrowed these photos from Katelyn, hope it's okay)
