memorial day weekend.

we had a great weekend!

friday we went to see men in black 3. i know, but it was good fun.

saturday, jonas had to work, but we still had a pizza night when he returned home.

sunday, we cooked steaks on the grill(yum) and spent time around the house.

today, we walked around a giant flea market and two of the cast members from three's company were there. we had bbq for lunch, spent the day at the pool and watched arrested development. we also finished a couple projects from our long list. (we know we look a little rough, it was a hot day).

skinny jeans.

when i started weight watchers, i decided that i wanted a pair of skinny jeans when i reached my goal weight. i never went out and got them, but i found some jcrew jeans on ebay last week. i took a chance(they were inexpensive) and it feels great to finally have them and reach that goal. everyday, i feel pretty. even if i have not washed my hair. i am staying on weight watchers for good, even if i hate tracking. i would not trade this.

a little birthday for jonas.

for jonas' birthday,  i made everything an office theme. we ate at chili's, where business is done. jonas won a dundie. i put up a few signs from some episodes. and i made him a black forest cake. katze was there too. happy 26th !

summer is here.

we had a great weekend. we ran errands together, walked around "springfest" on first street, went to see "mirror mirror"(we love a cold movie theater when it is 90 out), had a little cookout, and painted our door VERY red.

one year ago today, jonas arrived from germany. i was so nervous and really excited to pick him up from the airport(and i was accidentally late. not really great for someone coming to a new country.) we had to get used to each other again too. it has been quite a journey. i think he gets a little sad to think about how long he has been away from his family and everything that he knows. i am sorry for that and i love him and appreciate how well he has done here. oh, i found these posters that i made for him. i took a picture before i threw them away:

the cat in the hat.

my nephew, rock, had the lead in his school play, so we went to one of the performances. he did so well. he has no stage fright (& it was a huge crowd). he is just very uninhibited. the whole thing was so cute and funny.  and then we went out to eat with that little hamilton family.

lately.

jonas is training to be a manager at his work. 

we are settling in at home.

our katze is really bad, worse than we ever dreamed. we are adjusting to her. she is still loved though. 

the weather has been beautiful and not too hot yet.

we go to dairy kastle far more than we should.

i have been obsessed with sister wives.

and worrying a little about my funeral director&embalmer test. so typical.

& we are oh so in love.

our april temple date...in may.

we did not quite make it to the temple last month, so we are doubling up this month! and we had a really special evening. sure do love my jonas. ignore our unfinished stairs...

oh, ellie katze. our relationship is tainted by you urinating on the bed. i am so tired of washing the duvet cover and scrubbing the comforter. we love you, but this is one habit that has got to go.
