the rest of february...

February has turned very monotonous. The snow was a very beautiful adventure, but I've grown tired of staying indoors. Above are a few photos from my phone: a cemetery in the snow(there were no snow days for us at all), our Cafe Classico brunch/ Four Sisters Crepe date, Jonas at H&M with a crown clip in his beard(oh how he loved that), the melting snow on the house next door, and our Insomnia Cookies(no, we did not have them delivered, even though I think that is hilarious).

a good snow!

The snow is the talk of the town right now. I am so glad this winter didn't pass by without a few inches. It is gorgeous and we love it!

february so far...

  • Last week we tried Dalat's. Banh Mi and avocado milkshakes are excellent. It is a great place for a food adventure.
  • We worked on our new house and Jonas got hurt when a board covering this cellar opening moved beneath his feet. Hopefully soon he will heal completely, but now we have another story to tell our kids about the work that went into this home. I still feel gross when I think back to summertime when it was super hot and we were covered in black dirt. Those were the days.
  • I celebrated my first "Galentine's Day" with my friend Catherine. She gave me a sweater and had one of here own that matches. A gift truly inspired by Leslie Knope. I also got to go out for treats with Asha and cuddle with baby Rex.
  •  I put together some flower arrangements and gifts for the people I love. I am forever obsessed with the valentines from the Black Apple.
  • On Valentine's night we saw The Apache Relay at Zanzabar. This is a great band from Nashville. We shared way too many treats this weekend and delicious sushi.
  •  I am obsessed with festive clothes around this time, yes!

ello weekend.

because we matched. red and black...
we had some united sky miles left over from europe a couple years ago. we used them for these...
we relaxed in our living room quite a bit...

we tried out Blue Apron for a few meals. i loved receiving recipes and the ingredients needed for them in the mail. the meals were so delicious and healthy, which was great because i just started counting calories again. i don't think i will continue subscribing because of the cost, but it was fun...
we walked around 21c museum and this was the only piece that made sense to me. plus, it had this lovely quote..
"Human existence is a process of perpetual falling...It is the responsibility of each individual to catch ourselves from our own uncertainty"
