thinking of this.

"Part of my adulthood struggle is navigating through the pain of my adolescence. And while I love New York with every morsel of my soul, I am often face that old reality, that old struggle. There are beautiful and painful memories scattered and hidden on corners like little eggs on Easter. Part of my mission, not only as a mother, but as a woman, is to not let those little eggs become bombs that blow my footing away. I owe it to myself to peel the shell off, reveal what’s underneath, and use it as a tool to not only become a better version of me, but a more qualified version of their mother. Call it, therapeutic, intentional mothering. " -LaTonya Yvette

savannah (part two).

Forsyth Park. Ah, so inspiring and full of southern charm! :::
She loves to sit on a bench or the ground and get us to sit with her. She also finds all the dogs and squirrels around:::

Pool time!:::

Savannah riverfront.:::

My little Savannah rose:::
We had a southern lunch from Vic's on the River. Crawfish Beignets, biscuits with honey butter and other fried things:::

Jonas made a little beak. Feeding Zara like a baby bird gets her to sit still #parentingwin:::
We tried to go to Leopold's one more time, but the line would have made us miss our flight. We tried rolled ice cream instead. I wish we had waited because they had Leopold's at the airport!. :::
Bonaventure Cemetery. Such a mysterious, beautiful place.:::

Airport playtime:::
Airplane views:::
A million escalator rides. Who could say no? :::
It was such a great trip. Sometimes I feel so stifled. It helps to get away from the mundane.

savannah (part one).

As crazy as it can be to chase a toddler in the airport, I love it. We spend the whole time playing and there is magic in the anticipation of a trip:::
 After a delay and a super long wait for our rental car, we were so hungry. So we picked up dinner at Bier Haus to eat at the hotel. I love eating dinner in a giant bed with my little family :) Also, the schnitzel sandwich was so good.  :::
Zara loved pushing the elevator buttons and seeing the "woo woo" in the lobby:::
A sweet girl at breakfast:::
 Dining and strolling through City Market:::

 First African Baptist Church:::
 I always have to find a good pizza place when we go on vacation. It's a rule:::
 All the palm trees, cute squares and spanish moss you could ever want.:::

 Sweaty kisses:::

 Flying Monk Noodles!
 I will remember Leopold's chocolate ice cream forever:::

 We took a tour of Wormsloe Historic Site. We learned about the its origins, saw the Tabby ruins, the tidal marsh and the Oak Avenue, of course! :::
