celebrating jonas' birthday!

I gave Jonas tickets to a Louisville City Soccer game over the weekend. We finally tried Feast bbq and actually ate at the restaurant. I really want to teach Zara to behave in a restaurant but she is wild and free. I just pretended I didn't know her as she acted like a dog and crawled around on the ground. ha. At the game, Jonas was able to enjoy it while I played with Zara (I prefer this to watching a game anyway). One of my favorite things about the soccer games is that they are always during sunset and it looks gorgeous setting over our city. I also love watching people and seeing Zara run around and act like she knows random kids.::

Jonas took a day off and went with us on our regular Zoo Tuesday! Zara showed him all of her favorite things and was so proud as he watched her ride a pony. I see riding lessons in this girl's future.

I made Jonas German food on his actually birthday and a black forest cake. We also had dinner at our favorite, Das Gasthaus! We obviously love to celebrate with food. & I think he had a great birthday!

"mama day" weekend.

Zara made me things all week for "Mama Day" (what she calls it). She showed me everything she made over and over. I love it all so much. & it was part of such a happy weekend. After another lovely migraine Friday night, Z played in the hose with our neighbor. We live in this dreamy court with lots of trees. The houses face each other and it reminds me of Spectre in the film Big Fish- especially when these happy girls play::

Saturday I took Zara to the How- To Festival. We made some crafts and learned some new things. I hope Jonas can come the next time we go so that I can attend classes without dirty looks and comments because of Zara. It was not pretty. anyway. I finally got to eat at Pizza Lupo. There was honey on my pizza and it was incredible. We also took a stroll through the booths at the Flea off Market. We enjoyed being outside too::

On Sunday Jonas made breakfast for me and I received so many special gifts. We spent most of the day outside. Our neighbor got a new sprinkler and invited us to play, it was so fun! We even had a cartwheel competition and laid in the sun. I watched The Little Prince with Z and it was the sweetest movie. Jonas made me dinner and it was all so perfect.
I feel so lucky and so thankful.
