Zara (2.5-3)!

I am beyond behind with Zara's little updates. I am going to try to improve this. She changes so fast and says SO MUCH. It is tough to keep up with her but I put together a 2.5- 3 year old update::
This was the time of "Baby Rawr". No one was allowed to call her Zara, only Baby Rawr. She acted like a lion everywhere we went. She also loved when I would pick her up from school and pretend I find a baby lion in the back seat and talk about all the comforting things that awaited her at home: her paci, blanket, milk, etc.

We started potty training but she is not ready. Just random peeing on the potty and she wear panties on occassion.

Z became a Sunbeam at church (a more formal class you go to after nursery age).

She is slime obsessed. We have issues with her getting it on things. She is only supposed to have it on a tray now!

Z pretends to be Elsa from Frozen. She likes to freeze us with her powers.

She is incredibly picky- but she loves capers and pickles. For fruit- she will eat oranges, bananas and strawberries only. She does like crackers, mac & cheese, hard boiled eggs, noodles with butter, tomato sauce sometimes, HAM, any type of chip, almonds and yogurt. Her fav pizza topping is mushrooms and green olives. She would eat candy for every meal if it were up to her 🙁🙁

Z loves to give us each a paw patrol to lay with. She gets Skye, I have Marshall and Jonas has Chase.

You could find her making "rawr places" (a place for her to act like a lion) or little beds for each stuffed animal she has.

She frequents the Louisville Zoo and Newport Aquarium. She runs around a lot and makes piles of toys. We took her to the beach and it was like a free babysitter (still watched her like a hawk). Halloween is her favorite time of the year.

She goes everywhere with me- even work in the mornings to get the funeral home set up- something she loves to do. We have a little trouble at the salon, I let my hair process in the car where she usually poops in her pants and I have to clean her diaper with that cape on and color in my hair, ha.

She is picky about which fork she uses, the color straw, who prepares her milk, YOU KNOW.

She likes to go to chipotle and eat in a "baby seat" (high chair) with "everybody" (eat inside)

Z ran her first kid race- a dash before the Hungry Turkey 5k and she ran part of the 5k with me!

Still loves her "night night white" (her baby quilt she carries everywhere), her white "night night pillow" - a decorative pillow she took in as her own. She sleeps in favorite spot on the couch to go to sleep for the night or nap.

She calls my sister and her kids "my everybody"

Zara is the best helper at Trader Joe's. We have a little routine to get our lunch stuff- she grabs a cart and I hand her the fruit & hummus, etc. We make a stop at the sample table. Then she grabs her fruit wraps and granola bars. We go to the check out and she sets everything at the counter and while I pay, she puts her tiny cart back. Last thing- they give her stickers and she puts them on the window of the car :)

snow storm!

I hardly ever get to enjoy a snow storm from home. Usually I am at work and it all melts by the time I get home. We had a couple nice snow storms this year and one of them fell on my weekend off work. It's the little things. Church was canceled that Sunday so I stayed home, played in the snow with Z & made potato/leek soup that was the best. I even had fresh bread to go along.
The epitome of hygge over here.
* Zara has her own gloves but she went through them all and made it through two pairs of mine.
