Pandemic Halloween night.

I am so thankful that we were able to trick- or- treat this year. You only get so many Halloween nights out with your kids. I missed Halloween on Hillcrest but there was a similar vibe on Boulevard Napoleon. They really showed up for the kids. We appreciate their kindness and hard work to make it the perfect, pandemic friendly night!

Candy chutes & masks:::

Eleanor is wearing Zara's first costume. It's our favorite:::

We have so much candy from their daycare party, the zoo & trick-or-treat!!! :::

Boo @ the Zoo.

Ready for zoo trick-or- treating as Barb the Troll, baby dino & Kiki from Kiki's delivery service!!

We have loved visiting the zoo this month with all of their decorations:::
I didn't even bother with  a broom. I had to hold my kiddos instead:::
Obsessed with this baby dinosaur:::

I surprised Jonas with this sweater to wear in October. We love the Office:::
Trick or treat:::
Spooookkkyyyy carousel ride:::

Zara has been really interested in the Headless Horseman this year because we walk through the bamboo forest when we visit during the day time & it has the Sleepy Hollow tour set up. We got to listen to the story & see the horseman during Boo at the Zoo.
Anyone else remember when the horseman would ride along the train at the zoo?! I miss that.:::
 Visiting princesses from a distance:::

My little Barb::

A perfectly spooky tradition!

belated pumpkin picking..

We almost ran out of days to visit the pumpkin patch before Halloween. I am actually glad we waited because no one was around & it ended up being a perfectly spooky fall day at Huber’s in Indiana. There was a light drizzle, a little fog & the leaves were a past their peak but still full of color. We played with our baby girls and helped them pick out some pumpkins. It's the most wonderful time of the year!

Girls trip in Cincinnati!

We planned a Chicago trip a very long time ago. We had everything ready, but when the Covid cases started to rise, the city of Chicago began a mandatory 14 day quarantine for visitors from certain states. You know Kentucky was on that list.

That's okay, because our back up was Cincinnati & we love our Queen City!

First, we met up at Fountain Square & walked to the Sleepy Bee Cafe. We were all obsessed, it was very delicious. & it was weird & wonderful to eat out after months of (mostly) takeout.

We all love botanical gardens too so we made a stop at Krohn Conservatory. My kids were obsessed with the ponds full of fish and the gift shop. I loved their collection of beautiful bonsai trees.

Findlay Market is the best. We loved shopping for lunch as much as we loved eating it.

Eleanor realllyyyyy enjoyed her ice cream::

Our hotel had a pool & a direct view of Ikea. Such a lovely sight!
We couldn't stay away from the Sleepy Bee Cafe. This is from round 2::

& The Cincinnati Art Museum..
Even though my kids cried for a while, it was really fun after they calmed down.

Georgia O' Keeffe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

These silly nieces of mine::

I wanted to buy this hat for Eleanor so bad but I resisted. She probably would have hated it anyway.::

They are so exhausting sometimes but I love them so::
Sweet Asha, always helping me. I still have no idea how I would have made it through Covid without her.::
So grateful for this little trip! It was so nice to have something to look forward to. We can't wait for the next one :)
