Z's third month.

THREE.
Our little Zara Charlize is growing and growing and changing all the time. She makes all the days more joyful. We are soaking in this phase because her baby days are numbered. We just love it all!

I am not sure how much she weighs, but I am sure she has gained. Just look at her! She is still in 0-3 month clothes and size 1 diapers(although I think this photo was her very last newborn diaper):::
Zara loves:::
Sleeping in our bed. We do not let her do it often now, but it is the sweetest :)
When we get close to her face and talk to her, sing or make silly noises.
She also loves it when you just look at her and smile.
When Jonas whistles to her.
Staring at her mobile, talking to it and laughing at it.
Bicycle movements with her legs.
"Flying" movements with her arms.
Anyone who talks to her.
Zara does not like:::
Lots of kisses on her face, but we really cannot help it!
Getting tired before she goes to sleep. She fights it like crazy.
Laying on the floor.
Being alone- really, how does she always know when I leave a room if she is asleep?!
The booger sucker. Ohmyword.
She is not a fan of this paci or the cat attached yet, but I love it! :::
Still has that double chin:::
Our babies... this is so great. We adore the rocker she is in, it is so useful. She loves it too:::
Nursing is still going well and we are starting to figure out a schedule. Since I go to work most days, I still have bottles on my days off so we try and keep the same schedule with her milk. I do love one thing about pumping- knowing how much Zara is eating. This may be really boring, but I wrote about our schedule so that one day I can say to Zara "how did we do that ?!"
This is a typical work/ daycare day. Of course, we get those days where we wake up at 4am(sometimes several in a row.ugh):
7am- Nurse
9:30-10 am- Nurse(bottle at daycare)
1pm- Nurse(bottle at daycare). I go and see Zara most days, just to hold her. It is a long time for me if I don't see her until 4. I was hoping make this a time that I can nurse her, but the stars really need to align for that to happen. I am not hopeful that they will now.
3:30- 4pm Nurse(bottle at daycare)
6:30-7- Nurse or a bottle if I am still cooking dinner
9pm- Nurse
11pm- Nurse
& then she sleep until 6:30 or 7 most of the time. I am very lucky!
After work, we will run errands if we need to (usually the post office to ship ebay stuff or check our PO box), then I go home and put away our arsenal of stuff, I cook dinner while she watches. She usually falls asleep by the time I eat, which gives me a few minutes to watch a short show or listen to a podcast while I eat and sit down for a minute. Then she nurses. We talk in the kitchen while I clean bottles and dishes and prepare for the next day. I lay outfits out & all that..I have to stay super organized or I will never make it out the door on time. We have been (mostly) good about leaving on time and remembering everything. Jonas comes home early enough to eat with me most days and we spend time together when he arrives. Zara will totally stare at him for a while when he gets home. I try to journal and/or clean while Jonas holds her at night until we start bedtime(bath, pajamas, story, etc.)  My only complaint is that I miss the gym! I did start working out again though :) :::
I thought she didn't want to be swaddled for a while, but I am so glad I was wrong. She is a great sleeper! Still in our room, sleeping in her bassinet again. I put her down for naps in her crib occasionally.:::

I made up a song about this little pink marshmallow with a head. haha.:::
Still loving that bath. She doesn't really smile while she is in there though, she just stares into space.:::
I love when she holds her own little fat hands or puts them into fists:::
Her wide blue eyes.:::
 Her blanket made by my niece, Ava. We use it for play time. Serious face like her Mama:::
She used to just stare at my face while in the wrap. Now she loves to look at the trees and houses. We had some warm days and it makes me excited for the summertime, when we will get to be outside all the time:::
 She sure is filling out:::
 They are so cute together. She loves her Papa and loves talking to him and flirting with him:::
Other things:::
When she wakes up and pushes her little butt out, it is so darn cute! She likes to kick and wave her hands around. She smiles more all the time and it melts my heart! She blows little spit bubbles and the amount of drool has really increased, I am going to have to break out the bibs. She talks and squeals and tries her hardest to laugh.  She sleeps longer at night and we get lots of active time during the day. She pays attention to toys and tries to grab them and move them. She can still only turn one way...:::
This month we have been adjusting to daycare and work. It has gone well, I just miss her so much that I can't wait to take her home and snuggle. The past three months have been crazy, but it has been my greatest privilege to be Zara's mom :)
