this pregnancy is getting tougher by the day.
we just went on a walk and by the time it was over my feet and hands were swollen, I had to pee and my legs felt like they weigh a million pounds.
& then Zara brought me a stool to prop my legs up and some grapes 'to help me feel better'.
only 8 more weeks and we get to see her in action as a big sister- she is going to be great!

my birthday weekend in Toronto!
Jonas and I love Toronto and we have always talked about doing a weekend trip so we made it happen for my birthday! Unfortunately the drive was made super long there and back due to long lines at the border but all the Toronto fun was worth it!
Our first stop was Kensington Market for some lunch. It is also a great place to experience so many different types of people! My favorite was a guy riding on a skateboard singing songs to strangers at the top of his lungs::
We meet again Nu Bugel! Zara is back there realizing we saw her while she was trying to poop. ha::
Lunch buddies::
Serving Potheads since ah...I forget::
We walked around trying different food, enjoying the diverse crowd of people, the fashion everyone was wearing (ok, that's just me), checking out little shops and a random flea market::
Strawberry- Basil Rice pudding!!:::
We spent our first evening in the park. Zara loved playing in the splash pad &giant sandbox even when an older kid accidentally knocked her down hard. I enjoyed listening to live music from a nearby restaurant and playing with Z pretending to be Elsa from frozen and a lion::
Zara gave me a balloon and carried it around all weekend for me::
We went to church & I sat in the kid's class with Zara. When I walked in, a kid was talking to the teacher in another language super fast. Then he switched to English. No big deal. Jonas served his mission for our church in the Toronto area & it is super cool to get to bring Zara here..almost 10 years after his mission:::
We also spent some time at Toronto Botanical Garden. Z found baby ducks, we watched squirrels chasing each other & had such a lovely stroll::
We can't wait to visit this lovely city again!!

We had birthday treats and drove around checking out the city and street art::
Perfect birthday cupcakes::
31 years old & 31 weeks pregnant::
Z was mad and wouldn't take a photo with me::Zara gave me a balloon and carried it around all weekend for me::

We had a great meal at Lady Marmalade while Zara napped & she just looked so cute::
Unfortunately for her she missed out on that waffle::
We had to go to Toronto Island! We love taking the ferry over too- it is a little adventure. We made a sandcastle, found rocks with Z, buried her in the sand and played in a splash pad and playground::We can't wait to visit this lovely city again!!

father's day.
Zara loves her Daddy like crazy. I am lucky because I get to witness their lovely relationship.
& I don't know what I would do without Jonas, especially through this pregnancy. He would do anything for us & he does!
A few photos from our little celebration for him on Father's Day::

NOLA Part III & Graceland.
She is a million times cooler than me with her jelly sandals and pacifier::
In the visitor's center they have a map that shows the flooding from Hurricane Katrina::
Another highlight of our trip was a cemetery tour of St. Louis Cemetery #1. The above ground tombs are really, really cool. If you have one tomb, a dead body goes inside the top portion for 366 days and after that the bones are moved to the bottom portion along with many other family members and/ or friends. Such a space saver.
Not all the tombs are covered under perpetual care. If the fee is not paid by the owners to cover this, the tomb is left to fall to pieces::
For the future corpse of Nicholas Cage::
baby bumpin' to lunch::
We spent a day going to the movies and the mall. The mall has a play area where grown ups are not allowed and a hand washing station that washes your hands for you.
Zara actually got to see her first movie in the theater- Secret Life of Pets 2. She sat through most of it and she thought it was so funny::
We also spent a lot of time relaxing at our airbnb/hotel. We booked through Sonder and had a great experience. I wish these rooms were available in more cities. We had a huge space, nice kitchen, rooftop pool, tons of windows and it was very modern. We played, made meals and watched tv together with no schedule. Some photos of our time in this place below ::
Normal day preparation for flooding::
On our way home we stopped by the home of Elvis. I actually took my mom here in 2012. Not sure how all those years have gone by since that trip::
FYI- John Stamos is your tour guide on an iPad.
Taking care of business, yeah::
