Cancun, Mexico! (one)

Even with a mask, it felt so good to fly again! We had a happy journey to Mexico & felt very safe. Eleanor was a bit wiggly but we all survived flying with a baby::

I have visited Cancun before with my Dad & brother, when we were kids. I remember snorkeling with hundreds of tiny jellyfish and a Mexican coke that tasted so good in the heat. I also remember a slingshot ride, my Dad not having the proper paperwork at the airport & getting us kids through with a bribe, haggling in the markets & my Dad gifting me some jewelry that I still have! Hopefully Zara will have some fond memories of her time here too. We can tell Eleanor about it.

After unpacking on our first day, we caught up on all the swimming we missed this summer with the pool being closed for so long. We shared a pina colada, thai food and ice cream. yum!!!!!!!! ::

On our second day, we took a boat out to sea for a submarine ride. It was one of the only excursions that was friendly for babies and kids under 5. I was nauseous but spied a barracuda. There were underwater sculptures to aid with coral reefs. They also had a real mermaid swim next to us at the very end. Zara loved it all. ::

I love the next two photos. Eleanor loves to play hide & seek.
Where's Eleanor?
THERE SHE IS!
It has been an intense year. I needed a break from all the heartbreak around me. I know that we are so lucky to be able to take a break, to be together & to be healthy. I just wanted to soak up some time with my little ones. Their tiny hands and carefree childhoods are not going to keep for long.
