Christmas photos!

Christmas morning we gave our babies a doll house to share. It was the best, they love it so much! I am definitely remembering all of the hours I spent playing with my Barbie dream house.

We gave Eleanor a baby vacuum cleaner because she is our sweet little helper.

There was plenty of chocolate to go around too...

Our 2020 Family Christmas photo..

After a morning spent playing, we visited my Grandpa & then my sister's house. They had more snow than we did. It was beautiful & so nice to have snow on Christmas...
My sister planned Bingo with awesome prizes. Zara & Eleanor had a blast with their cousins. We had a very special gift exchange & yummy food. It was such a fun evening!

Merry Christmas to you!

Christmas Eve 2020.

It was a merry & bright Christmas Eve because:

I got off work a little early & got to cuddle with my babies.

Zara finished her Paw Patrol advent calendar. She has had a blast opening it every day and using the buffet as a play area.

Eleanor & Zara being so silly and happy.

Music from the Nutcracker.

Delicious food and all the Ferrero Rocher chocolates.

Christmas dresses.

Reading the nativity story and The Night Before Christmas.

A fun mess of presents.

Trying & failing to take a photo with both girls...
I caught one..

winter solstice.

The winter of 2020 began with the conjunction of Jupiter & Saturn.
It was dark so early, which is normally depressing, but I was enchanted.
It prompted me to take an evening stroll with my children & delight in this season like never before.
There are so many things to love, like the warm light coming from the houses I pass while jogging in the dark.
Hot baths after spending time outside & all the warmth has left my skin and fingers.
The wind in bare tree limbs against a grey sky.
Eating something that is cooked slowly in wine.
Watching a familiar film from my clean, cozy home.
The romance of snow flurries.

Zara's 5th Birthday Party!

Our little Zara is 5! We had a family dance party at my sister's house & it was so fun! Zara has wanted to do this for months. My niece made the coolest cake and I so appreciate that everyone dressed up and made it exciting for Zara. I also appreciate all of the skilled dancing! Photos below!
