winter solstice.

The winter of 2020 began with the conjunction of Jupiter & Saturn.
It was dark so early, which is normally depressing, but I was enchanted.
It prompted me to take an evening stroll with my children & delight in this season like never before.
There are so many things to love, like the warm light coming from the houses I pass while jogging in the dark.
Hot baths after spending time outside & all the warmth has left my skin and fingers.
The wind in bare tree limbs against a grey sky.
Eating something that is cooked slowly in wine.
Watching a familiar film from my clean, cozy home.
The romance of snow flurries.
