Z's Seventh Month !

hello 7 months! it sure did get here fast.
This month was super crazy too, we made a big change for our family- we moved! (more later).
 I have tried my best to keep up with Zara's development and take plenty of photos through it all.
I have been surprised by how much she is changing. It does not seem like she should be doing all that she does. A minute ago I had a helpless infant...and now...
Zara is a big girl and we love her chunky thighs! She wears some 3-6 months clothing and 6-12 month & wears size 3 diapers. She is cheerful and playful and full of life!
Here is more about her month:::

Z gets to see family pretty often. We all love it:::
From that one time we jogged this month, ha. I am so freaking tired ya'll:::
Playing with all the bottle accessories near the sink:::
Happy girl pulling herself up:::
From her first Father's Day :::
Z loves to sit down with toys. She always needs to be banging a toy around or grasping something.
She was excited to move to her new home::
Crawling a little for her aunties:::
Her paper obsession:::
I love her silly faces:::

Two pale ladies:::
They are thinking about starting a band:::

She looks cute, but the bath is a little too slippery. We found out a few seconds later:::

SLEEP:::
My sweet baby who used to sleep through the night has consistently woken up at least once per night this month. There were some emotional days with this because I really need sleep and with moving and working and this baby waking up...well, it was hard. Zara naps for shorter time periods now but still loves to sleep in the car. She is still sleeping next to me in a travel crib (I know, I know) and bedtime is something she has started to resist.
EATING:::
Zara will put anything and everything in her mouth these days, so we really have to watch her. She is finally starting to wean a little and I am so grateful! This has helped me finally get to a point where we cut the formula out (she only had one container). It was a long journey (at least the 6 weeks it took for my supply to go back up really felt like it!) Zara has between 20 and 30 oz of breast milk everyday and eats two packages of organic baby food per day. I have not gotten into making her food in a while with the move, but it is coming! She also nibbles on fruit and tries a lot of things we are eating. Her favorite food still involves bananas and she loves fresh fruit (watermelon, pineapple, apples, melon). She also loves chewing on bread and crumbling it in her little hands. We do put a tiny bit of cereal in her milk sometimes to help this hungry girl (she does not like the cereal being spoon fed to her).
Right now I just follow her lead when she is interested in food, but I am planning to start giving her more foods to try (especially mashing things or blending them)..like now, because she is ready.

New stuff:::
We have a tooth in the front! It has broken through the skin and I can see a couple others. I was so excited for her! A tooth, yay!

Z is crawling! It doesn't look perfect, but she is doing it! and now she is into everything and will find a way to get to any object she wants...it is only the beginning.

Z snores a little & it is oh so cute when a baby does it.

I can leave her sitting all by herself without worrying about falls. Unless she is hungry, then I think she falls on purpose.. Also, I cannot leave her anywhere high or she will fall. Been there and done that with the couch.

Z had some cranky moments and some very hungry moments. It may have been teething or a growth spurt..or both!

Zara turns her ankles often..and it slows down as she drifts to sleep.

 Baby babbles and chatting is at an all time high and it is so sweet!
Her favorite noise to make is 'da da da da da'

She is starting to pull herself up. Our girl has strong legs, I wonder if she will walk a little early.

Z twists and turns and moves all around when changing her diaper.

Zara is ticklish now and it makes her laugh so hard! It's my favorite.

Zara is a happy, healthy baby. She can be serious and filled with intent when she plays or observes an object or a face. It is fascinating to watch her explore the world. I also love helping her develop a curiosity for it all.

Loves:::
She is still obsessed with crinkly things and ceiling fans.

She loves when I put her paci in my mouth and spit it out and she loves spitting noises. I used to do that with my nephew at this age. hey, it works for a laugh :)

The occasional lick of ice cream.

Being held upside down.

She loves to be held and will even reach for us a little now.

Still grabbing my hair.

Wiping her face on everything. The world is her napkin.

She fiercely adores our cat, she squeals and tries to pet her. I keep a close eye on that situation and Zara has no idea that Katze is hissing because she does not like a baby being so close.

Z loves her light up/musical walker and plastic farm animals but she is entertained with almost anything. Especially paper. ha.

Laughing at her Papa, she just thinks he is great.

Does not like:::
Zara is definitely vocal when she doesn't like something. Right now, you have to hold her if she wants to be held. Luckily, it is not constant and baby wearing helps.

Zara has cried a couple times when I leave her. Thanks for breaking my heart little lady!

Bedtime is becoming an issue now, she fights it and really only likes to sleep when we go to bed.

Sink baths. Funny, I thought she would like them. It is what we are doing right now though because she outgrew her puj and it is convenient for me.

Baby Z! This month has been so fun to see more of your personality shine through. I get so happy for you when I see you develop and change and interact with all of the people who love you. You are even better and more wonderful that I ever could have imagined. Your random smiles and little laughs make me feel like the luckiest. You light up the room, you light up our lives. I hope you are happy to be a part of this life and this family :)
