the 4th of july.

it rained and rained this july 4th, but we had to work anyway. it made it a little less horrible to see that all day. Plus,  Z got to go to her favorite babysitter, so she was happy! all of the fireworks were cancelled, so after we made ginger pork burgers and had way too much key lime pie, we went to see a movie. we saw Swiss Army Man, which I really wanted to see- mostly because of the music on the soundtrack. it was not really what I expected and I haven't really decided how I feel about it...but it was interesting....& Z slept through most of it and I entertained her in the back of the theater (I watched the movie while she played with the door and my face. ha.) We picked up some sparklers and those fountain fireworks afterward and lit them in our back yard while we watched our neighbors fireworks. Z wasn't afraid or anything :)
