Z loved the strollers at the airport so much, I had to take a photo.
On our first day in Iceland, we relieved some of our jet lag at Icelandic Street Food. I had the fish soup, everyone else had lamb. It was also our first experience with the expensive food in Iceland. Jonas told me we spent $50 on two soups, but you just have to laugh about it. Fortunately it was delicious and cozy and perfect.
Almost all of the buildings in Iceland are very low. The architecture in the city is modern, colorful, and so many are made of metal. & there were a lot of cats around that seem to rule the city::
We went up the Hallgrímskirkja Lutheran Church to see the city from above::
The Leifur Eiríksson statue in this land of vikings. It was a gift from the US to celebrate the first Alþingi (parliament) ::
A cat in a shop. I love it so much::
Ice cream & crepes, oh my! ::
All of the expensive sweaters::
Zara ran up and down the Pride rainbow a LOT::
We explored the city & gift shops::
Stopping for french fries and sauce::
We love exploring foreign groceries & Zara loved the car seat. We stopped by this one every day for snacks & breakfast food::
We stayed at a lovely airbnb overlooking Heidmork national reserve. It was perfect for us. Zara had her own room with toys to play with, lots of light and space.::
